Lead Software Developer — Audio Enhancement
K-12 school security & intercom software · Core platform team of 6 · West Jordan, UT
Mar 2023 – Oct 2026
- Built third-party integrations with Utah sponsored law-enforcement and first-responder dispatch systems, making flagship platform compliant across all school districts in the state.
- Owned the manufacturing-operations platform behind a fleet of 25+ warehouse stations used by two teams, processing 18,000+ hardware units/year — parts collection, serial-number generation, unit cycle time, defect reporting, and parts traceability across swaps and repairs, plus API access for AI reporting tools — maintained at 100% uptime.
- Built automated hardware QA software covering 12 feature and stress tests with guided interactive steps, run reports, and log capture; cut the per-unit QA cycle from 15 minutes to 2 minutes and caught 95% of pre-shipment defects.
- Owned security, backup, deployment, and monitoring for the platform, and coordinated an IT-led migration to virtualized hosts and a new data warehouse with zero unplanned downtime.
- Drove agentic AI adoption across the entire delivery pipeline — development, code review, test generation, deployment, and reporting — improving PR turnaround by 50% and raising unit-test coverage from 65% to 80%.
- Built production integrations against company and third-party hardware — intercoms (SIP), access control, and sensors — over TCP / UDP sockets, mDNS, and RS-232 serial, working directly with the Hardware team to define and validate the interfaces.
Technical Product Manager — DevSquad
Software development & product consultancy
Jan 2021 – Mar 2023
- Managed 3 teams of 3-7 engineers concurrently across 3 client projects, responsible for delivery, quality, and technical direction.

- Built and refactored web services for hundreds of concurrent users, peaking at 100,000+ requests per hour at 99% availability.
Full Stack & API Engineer — Zions Bank
Financial services · Investments division
Jan 2014 – Jan 2021
- Led the team's transition to Agile, introducing backlog, kanban board, ceremonies, and definition of done that became the department standard; identified process inefficiencies across teams of varying size and helped 6 teams cumulatively over 2 years move to leaner, more efficient development and communication systems.
- Built a real-time foreign-exchange platform covering 25+ currencies, with real-time connectivity to 4 national and international banks — reducing manual reconciliation by 80%.
- Pioneered microservice decomposition in the Investments platform (3 services), moving deployment from monthly to weekly and reducing change-failure rate to 10%.
